The Challenger 580 has the best-selling transverse Island bed which can slide out for night time use to provide a bigger bed, but still leaves a space large enough to walk around. The end washroom has a Thetford cassette toilet, large shower and wash hand basin.
The kitchen area has a Thetford oven with 240v ring, microwave and fridge with removable freezer compartment. The front has a long seating/dining area which can also be made into a large double bed. There is a chest with a pull out table and twin draws.
The Challenger range gets the Alde wet heating system with towel rail as standard which is a system of pipes that run around the caravan and are heated by a central boiler, which also heats the water for washing up and showering. The 240v can be run on 3kw, and the gas is 5.5 Kw. Both heat inputs can be run together to warm the caravan up quickly if required.
This year the Challenger also gets a new 80 watt solar panel fitted to the roof which is able to keep the on board battery topped up when the caravan is not plugged into 240, a 240v external socket and BBQ point and a side hatch to allow axcess under the front bunk. The fridge is a 110 li Dometic, and the awning light can be controlled with a key fob. The challenger has a tracker fitted as standard with three month-free subscription included.
With the stylish lit splash back and down lights the Challenger really needs to be seen in operation to be appreciated.
