Due to yet again more time wasters Angelina is still for sale. The latest prospective purchaser was very enthusiastic prodding and poking. However the good news is I can be more honest with her appraisal as he found rust on the offside inner and outer sills that I had not realized was there. She was previously for sale for £6500 and now reduced to £5895 OVNO to far more than reflect the cost off having this work done in a garage. Welding or maybe filling? Photos of the areas have been added.
Angelina is our 1993 Talbot Express Symphony by Autosleeper. We have owned her for just over 18 month's and is only going because I need something slightly larger to accommodate my Mobility Scooter.
This is a much sought after size vehicle as she fits in a regular parking spot.
She has been well maintained as she had a service just after we purchased her along with the cooling system checked. Then she benefited from a Major overhaul October 2014 having everything checked including all advisories from the service. Followed by a new MOT even though it had 5 months to run.
This work included
Cam Belt Kit
All Brakes stripped & rebuilt with new shoes
New Number Plate Light
£1000s in parts alone + 11 days in the workshop.
MOT till 1st November
As you can see even with no previous history we have spared no expense on getting her thoroughly roadworthy.
A little TLC from a fussy owner could improve the outside a little, but she is sound and a nice looking old girl.
SHE IS 23 years old.

I have fitted a fan to the dash and recently fitted New LED lights to the Kitchen area along with 3 x LED Bars in the living area, I have retained the original lights fitted in place which contain 2 x 8w tubes each. So loads of lighting. Also new flooring to the Kitchen area.
New Rooflight fitted to the Toilet compartment.
147000 miles this may go up a little
Since owning on advice I have used a Diesel additive and she returns 37 mpg on a run. The app on my phone shows an average of 31/32mpg
Any viewing welcome and Test Drive
Since the above work she has had a new Clutch Cable fitted and a new Fresh Water Pump also a new leisure battery
Price to include over half a Tank of Fuel.
Toilet taken out recently as we had a slight leak and cannot source Fiamma Parts, however we have retained it in case the purchaser wishes to replace it. A Porta Potti is in place and included.
We have just spent 22 days touring Normandie France and she behaved impecably.
Since coming home however she suffered a burst brake pipe that has been fixed.
Selling as due to my disability I really need something a little larger.
Bad points as follows
1) no handle on inside of the sliding side door. I have tried to find one without success. Therefore the door has to be opened from the outside or by leaning out of the window.
2)The passenger side window has to be helped to wind down. Going back up is no problem.
3)Due to a bad earth when the lights are turned on the temperature gauge shows high.
4)Bonnet rusty on underside.
Due to even more time wasters she is back on sale and the price has been reduced to reflect the problems the latest over enthusiastic viewer unearthed. On the plus side I can give an even more honest appraisal of her faults.
So further bad points are as follows
1) The latest perspective viewer prodded and poked and put his finger though a rust spot on the Bonnet (see pictures) Hole about the size of a 10p.
2)He also put his finger through the offside outer sill that has left a hole about the size of a £2 coin. This I was not aware off as each year I have painted the sills and not noticed any problem. Will need welding or replacing with a new sill or half sill.
3) Possible rust and need off repair on the offside inner sill.
You can visit her Blog and or her facebook page to view her road-trips complete with any problems and fixes she has had along the way.
NO EXPENSE HAS BEEN SPARED ON REPAIRS or UPKEEP
